With full time professional staff, we are committed to meeting all of the horse’s individual needs.

Tim & Crystal O’Donohue own and manage Castle Gate Farm. Both oversee all daily operations of the farm.

Dr. Jordan Lopez of Peterson and Smith is our farm veterinarian and always on the front line ensuring all of our veterinary needs are met. Dr. Lopez along with her assistants are always on top of all current recommendations for vaccines and deworming and makes sure all of our horses are on schedule and up to date. Having the support and relationship within a top equine emergency facility like Peterson and Smith puts us in a position to be able to act quickly should any emergencies arise. Dr. Lopez also manages the veterinary requirements of our breeding program all the way up until they are about to foal. We then send them to Dr. Jean White of Ocala Equine who has an impressive reputation for success throughout the foaling process. They are kept at Dr. Whites farm until both mare and foal are cleared by Dr. White to come home to Castle Gate Farm. We then provide any necessary follow up care at home. Dr. White is a staple to our breeding program

Our regular and specialty hoof care is managed by 2 of the areas most qualified farriers ; Chris Gallagher and Eli Miller. Should any issues above and beyond normal or specialty shoeing arise that require a veterinary podiatrist we refer to Dr. Ellen Staples.

Dental care is a routine need and Ocala has several great equine dentists we use.
